Did God Really Say. . .
.THOU SHALT NOT SURELY
DIE?
Exposing
the lie of Carnal Security
If you are convinced that what you
have been taught is the true faith, the true
gospel, what you are about to read could cause
your spirit to soar to new heights or greatly
anger you. It will not tickle the ears of
any pew-warmer. This is a look at
some ‘sacred cows’ of our day; an examination
tool to see if we are in the faith, to see if
the faith once for all delivered to the saints
is the same as what has been delivered to
you.
"As I urged you when
I went to Macedonia -- remain in Ephesus that
you may charge some that they teach no other
doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless
genealogies, which cause disputes rather than
godly edification which is in faith. Now
the purpose of the commandment is love from a
pure heart, from a good conscience, and from
sincere faith, from which some, having strayed,
have turned aside to idle talk . .
." (1 Timothy 1:3-6 NIV)
If we cannot have a pure heart now, the command
to love cannot be met, or false teaching
stopped, nor would there be any means to keep
men from wandering from the truth.
When
we, with all our heart, soul, mind and strength,
bow the knee to the Lordship of Jesus
Christ, Romans 6:18 can be accomplished in
our lives: "But now having been set
free from sin, and having become slaves of
God, you have your fruit to holiness, and
the end, everlasting life. For the
wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord."
(Romans 6:22-23)
In this day of
lawlessness, stress, and twenty-first century
wonders, one thing has remained: lack of real
peace. There is a rumor that a certain
well-known government is trying to bring peace
through 'political
correctness'. From the ‘New
Deal’ to ‘let’s get real’ men say "Peace,
peace". And there is no peace . . .
because of sin. "My peace,” Jesus
said, "give I unto you, not as the world
gives, and give I unto you." "The work of
righteousness will be peace, And the effect of
righteousness, quietness and assurance forever."
(Isaiah 32:17) "For unto us a Child
is born, Unto us a Son is given . . . And His
name shall be called . . . Prince of Peace."
(Isaiah 9:6) "Therefore, having been
justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans
5:1) "You will keep Him in perfect
peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he
trusts in You." (Isaiah
26:3)
Peace
Peace is an ocean,
a sea of
ointment
there to heal.
Peace is a
motion,
an inner movement
there to
thrill.
Peace is the notion
when asked
for
He gives at will.
Peace, O Glorious
Potion!
that warms the soul
and leaves it
still.
SHALOM!
