Patience is a good cup to drink from.
It has been said that the prayer of the modern American is: "Dear God, I pray for patience, and I want it right now!"
You admire patience in the driver behind you, but not in the one ahead of you. how true. It can also be said of the checkout line at the grocery store, the doctor's office, or any situation that causes you to have to wait.
Young folks should cultivate patience with old folks so that when they grow old they'll have patience with young folks.
My prayer for all of us today is:
"for whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: that ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."
