Whenever winter is raging in the north, provision is available to protect from the snow and the cold. For those who have prepared, there are furnaces, fireplaces, etc. to provide heat. But for those who are not prepared there is the exposure to the cold and it can even be life threatening. Even though we here in Florida don't have to worry about being prepared to weather snow storms, we have very real dangers from the elements such as hurricanes. But there are always provisions for our protection.

God has provided for us protection from the dangers in the spiritual realm. When Abraham was instructed to take Isaac his son, and sacrifice him: as they were approacing the site where the sacrifice was to take place, Isaac said, "..My Father." and he said "Here am I , my son." And he said, "Behold the fire and the wood; but where is the lamb for a burnt offring?"

Someone pointed out a very awesome point in Abraham's answer. And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide Himself, a lamb for a burnt offering." Genesis 22:7-8. The emphasis on HIMSELF.

The ram that was caught in the bushes was a shadow of the true sacrifice that the Father has provided for you and me. He provided HIMSELF> There is no danger in this world, be it physical or spiritual, against which the provision of God is not all the protection we need! JM
